2007 Aurora Dog Mushers Jr Championships

Students participated in the Aurora Dog Mushers Association Junior Championships held in Big Lake on Febraury 10th and 11th. The weather was beautiful and parents, students and dogs all worked hard and had a lot of fun. Now they are looking forward to the Junior World Championships in Anchorage this coming weekend!

There will be a meeting every month and a hands on educational class after the meeting every second Saturday of every month at 3:00pm.

NEW JR SLED DOG RACE: There is a New Junior Race: Cantwell Denali Highway Sled Dog Race January 11th - 14th - (Adult Race)
January 13th there is a 50 mile Junior Race
Ages: 14 - 18
Fee $50 per Junior

National Geographic and leaders from the business, nonprofit and education communities unveiled a public-engagement campaign designed to give U.S. students tools to become more informed global citizens. The goal of the five-year multimedia campaign — My Wonderful World — is to improve the geographic literacy of young people ages 8-17 by motivating parents and educators to expand geographic offerings in school, at home and in their communities.
